2009 Golf Tournament Wrap-Up

The 29th Annual Sepulveda Building Materials Charity Golf Tournament was a great success. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who participated, along with cash and in-kind donations from Sepulveda Building Materials, $12,000 was donated to the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House from this year's tournament. Now the three year total from the golf tournament, combined with donations from clients, vendors and Sepulveda, stands at $94,000!

The annual charity golf tournament was started almost three decades ago by Sepulveda Vice President Hobart (Hobie) Schram. His accomplishments with the company included opening the current Laguna Niguel company headquarters, opening the original Palm Springs store and much more. The tournament was named in his honor when he passed away several years ago.

Wrap Up

The 2009 Tournament, like past events, had a packed house, with over 136 Sepulveda Building Materials clients and vendors completely filling one of the 18-hole courses at Green River Golf Course near Corona, CA. There were trophies for Longest Drive, Closest to Hole and more. However, despite many heroic efforts, no one went home with the pickup truck offered by Allen Cadillac in Laguna Niguel for a hole in one! Players could console themselves with many other high-end prizes and some delicious food.
